PRIVACY & DATA · BETA
How this beta handles your data.
A practical explanation of the current OptiSpace beta. Updated 6 October 2026.
Signing in and saved projects
This site uses ChatGPT sign-in. OptiSpace receives a site-specific user ID and account email, with a display name when available. The user ID controls access to your workspaces and projects; the account details are used to show who is signed in.
Project names, structured planning data, saved scenarios, and document revisions are stored in the hosted app’s cloud database and object storage. The app checks project ownership on its API routes. Project access and the site’s overall sharing settings are separate controls.
The beta does not offer separate OptiSpace passwords or an independent identity provider.
Spreadsheets, imports, and browser storage
Excel and CSV files are parsed in your browser. The original spreadsheet file is not uploaded by the import workflow. Once you review and apply an import, its structured planning records become part of the project and are saved to the cloud.
Importing a JSON project backup sends its included studio documents to the cloud when you create the project. Downloads and exported backups are saved through your browser; keep them somewhere appropriate for their contents.
Interface preferences and temporary recovery drafts use this browser’s storage. Recovery drafts can contain unsaved project data and are scoped to the signed-in account, project, and studio. They help recover interrupted saves on the same browser. Avoid shared devices for confidential planning.
Demos and email enquiries
Shipped demos contain fictional sample data. The homepage campus preview is temporary and does not create a saved project. Editable studio demos create a private copy in your workspace after sign-in.
Contact links open your email app. An enquiry is sent only when you send it, and goes to michael@optispace.ai through your email provider. There is no contact-form submission service on this site.
Keeping and recovering work
Archiving a project hides it from the active list but keeps its saved documents. Backups and cloud revisions support recovery; archiving is not deletion. This beta does not publish a guaranteed deletion or retention period.
If a saved document cannot be opened safely, the app keeps the stored data and offers an original-backup download. No replacement demo is saved over it. You can also download a project backup from My projects.
For access, privacy, deletion, or recovery questions, contact michael@optispace.ai. Please don’t send confidential files until an appropriate transfer method has been agreed.
